I wrote this poem shortly after my Dad had a stroke. At the time he was having difficulty speaking. My Dad has never used the word love in front of me but I have never felt a lack of it when with him. Even though I use spoken word as my form I try to remind myself that sometimes words do not need to be spoken out loud.
